The body of President Mohammad Buhari’s former chief of staff Abba Kyari was flown to Abuja on Saturday morning in a private aircraft.
The plane touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at 9 am.
On hand to receive the body were government officials including former Secretary to the government of the Federation (SGF) and Chief MKO Abiola’s former running mate, Babagana Kingibe, the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufai Abubakar and Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.
The corpse was then conveyed to Defence House, located in Maitama for the fidau prayers before the burial at Gudu cemetery in Abuja with only a few persons allowed to attend.
